Georgian steampunk recipes — classic dishes reimagined with storytelling and flavor.
Intro/Story
Copper gears turn slowly while dark rye bread ferments in the cauldron. Steam rises from the pipes, and kvass flows like an old clockwork—a bread drink with soul.
Kvass is a traditional Eastern European drink made by fermenting rye bread. It is slightly alcoholic (usually less than 1.5%), refreshing, and has been drunk for centuries in Russia, Georgia, and other regions. Kvass is considered a folk drink, often flavored with raisins, mint, or berries.
